The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is cheap, little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have pushed up the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
